TODAY AND EVERYDAY

My wish for you  is that you always remain happy,
Spread good cheer around you,
May you always see a happy face,
May you always be surrounded with love and peace,

Life is so short, we are here today gone tomorrow,
We disappear from the surface of earth,
We remain  in memories for a short while,
Why fret and fume and then ruminate?

There is often no time for goodbyes,
So live life as if it is your last day,
Spread cheer, happiness and goodwill,
So that you always see,
Bright beautiful happy faces around you,
May you listen to birds chirping in the trees,

And allow peace, good cheer and love envelope you in all your days.

ON FRIENDSHIP DAY.

Friends are those who are always there,
They offer their shoulder anywhere,
They look out for you in your naughty deeds,
They warn you of dangers which you never heed,
They tease you to death, the reasons could be many,
They laugh with you, at you, and spread good cheer,
When a friend is there, you have no fear.

Its fun to look up an old friend after fifty years and say,
Oh dear! where did time go, wasn't it only the other day?
You catch up with info of times gone by,
Of deaths and births and the time that flew by,
Your first friend was your mother, then your father,
Your brother and your sister,
Your spouse, your son and your dear daughter,
They are not just family, they are friends as well,
They love you, watch out for you, and fight without fear.

Your friend is with you even if miles away,
Your friend is with you in your mind resting away,
Catch, up, meet up, make that phone call,
Meet your friends, get together, do not wait for fall,
Life is impermanent,
Love lasts forever,
Do not keep it locked away,
Say it, express it,
Are you sure there will be a tomorrow?
